Dear Parents and Guardians,
Plainview Classical Academy will welcome students for the First Day of School on Wednesday, August 16. Doors open at 7:15 AM. Classes will begin at 7:50 AM every school day. Students should plan to arrive on time (or early) that day and every day.
The response to the opening of this campus has exceeded our expectations. We are still receiving requests for enrollment, with several of the grades at capacity and a waiting list.
We are hosting a “Meet The Teacher” night on Monday, August 14. The evening will begin in the new gym at 4:00. Our superintendent, Mr. Mike Terry, and I will be on hand with assistance from Heather Brown, a Regional Director, and Michelle Post, PCA Headmaster, to provide an outline of our Classical philosophy and of the educational program we are implementing this year.
Here is the complete schedule:
- 4:00 - 4:45 Meeting with all interested parents and guardians in the new gym
- 5:00 -5:45 Parents/Guardians of students with last name A-I will travel to their students' rooms
- 6:00 - 6:45 Parents/Guardians of students with last name J-Q will travel to their students' rooms
- 7:00-7:45 Parents/Guardians of students with last name R-Z will return to their students' rooms
We will schedule a “Curriculum Night” in early September to review this year’s curriculum. Please plan to leave promptly after each session to allow movement to and from sessions and then at 7:45 to give faculty and staff the opportunity to get home and to be ready for their last day of training on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
